Biography

Maria Teresa Vincenzini was born in San Gizustino (PG) in 1948 and graduated in Pharmacy in Florence in 1970 with a biochemistry thesis (110/110) in the Biochemical Sciences Dip. Since 1994 he has been Professor of Biochemistry (Faculty of Pharmacy, Florence, at the Department of Biochemical Sciences) and teaches Biochemistry and Biochemistry of the Bachelor of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Florence. Since 2013 she has been working at the Department of Biomedical Experimental and Clinical Sciences (Biochemistry Section) of the University of Florence. PhD student in biochemistry and cell biology. Lecturer at the Clinical Biochemistry School of Medicine at the University of Florence. He is a member of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and reviewer of international newspapers "Acta Biochimica Biophisica" and "Antioxidants and Redox Signaling". He has conducted comparative biochemistry studies, studies on phylogenetic localization and regulation of an important metabolic pathway, the glyoxylate cycle. He also studied enzymatic regulation on protein catabolism in relation to the physiological process of aging. Other studies concern the influence of vitamin D3 derivatives in some metabolic processes and the activity of transmembrane transport systems of metabolites.
