From 2008 to 2011 he was a member of the Scientific Committee of the Library of Sciences of the University of Florence. Research activities and scientific interests Archeobotanica, with particular reference to man-territory relationship, nutrition in prehistory and the origin of agriculture Paleoecology of coastal plains History of vegetation, with particular reference to the Morphology and ultrastructure of pollen Reproductive Biology Analysis of micromorphological characters In the field of archeobotanical research carried out in Italian and foreign archaeological sites, he participated in Archeological Missions in North Africa and the Middle East: Italian Archaeological Mission in Libya (III University of Rome); Italian Mission "Medioevale Petra" in Jordan (University of Florence); IMTO, Italian Mission to Oman (University of Pisa). He also collaborated in the organization of exhibitions, some of them on important archaeological sites like Pompeii and Petra (Jordan), with exposure in Italy and abroad (Los Angeles County Museum of Art; M ü nchen, Deutch Museum). He has attended numerous national and international congresses as rapporteur, chairman and invited speaker as a member of the Scientific Committee.
