Research Interest

Scientific experience: · Identification of receptor subtypes, transduction mechanisms and signaling pathways involved in pain perception; · Identification of the receptor and post-receptorial mechanism of the most important pharmacological classes of analgesic compounds; · Use of the antisense oligonucleotide strategy to identify the role of receptors, transduction proteins, ion channels in the central nervous system; · Study of intracellular mechanisms of natural compounds able to relieve from neuropathic pain; · Identification of altered signaling pathways in animal models of migraine, depression and eating disorders
