Research Interest
Silvia Dei is involved in the design, synthesis and evaluation of novel substances for the detection of active molecules from which to derive structure-activity relationships to understand the requirements for interaction with a particular biological target and to optimize their interaction. activity and / or selectivity. Particularly focused on the synthesis of active substances such as phenylalanchilamines, active substances on muscarinic and nicotinic receptor systems active substances against Multi-Drug Resistance, which can inhibit the cellular elimination of anti-tumor drugs by means of glycoprotein P, of substances capable of giving analgesia according to different mechanisms and nootropic substances.
