Biography
Training: 1986 Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, University of Florence. Speaker Prof. F. Bruni. 1989-1991. PhD. in Chemistry of the Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Florence. Professional activity: 1992-2002, University Researcher for the Discipline Group C07 (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Florence. Since 2003 Associate Professor SSD CHIM / 08-Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Author of 60 scientific publications and communications at National and International Conferences. Scientific Contributor (C.S.) of the following Research Projects: Scientific collaborator from 1991 to the projects Synthesis of polycondensed nitrogen heteroaromatics and evaluation of their biological activity financed by MIUR 60% Scientific collaborator for ex 40% projects since 1991; Scientific Contributor to the Project 2001-2003, 2003-2005 PRIN Preliminary design, synthesis and evaluation of ligand for central, aminoacidergic and cholinergic benzodiazepine receptors. Scientific collaborator at 2005-2007 PRIN Design, synthesis, conformational characterization and immunological activity of new modified peptides for the study of molecular deimination mechanisms of autoimmune diseases, identification of new disease biomarkers and the development of innovative diagnostic and prognostic tools. Research Interest
Scientific interests: Pharmaceutical chemistry of compounds containing the pyrazole core; synthetic strategies for the production of polycondensated nitrogen containing compounds containing the pyrazole core as ligands to the CBR and peripheral (PBR or TSPO) benzodiazepines. Realization of tracers for the diagnosis and staging of Alzheimer's disease and some neurodegenerative diseases. Synthesis of heterogeneous compounds for the study and limaging of tumor and neurodegenerative pathologies.
