In this context, he conducted in vivo and in vitro studies that helped identify cellular synthesis cells of the liver extracellular matrix proteins, also through the development of original RNAm expression analysis methods on histological sections. He also collaborated on studies to clarify the fibrous role of growth factors in liver disease and to identify the role of degrading enzymes in the extracellular matrix and their inhibitors in the dynamics of accumulation of liver fibrotic tissue. He also collaborated in analytical studies on the role of chemokines in the pathophysiology of liver fibrosis, both in experimental models and in humans. He also actively collaborated on studies in chronic inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative-peptic disease, and Helicobacter pylori infection.
