Biography
Carlo E. Traverso received his MD degree from the University of Genova Medical School, where he also attended the Residency program under Professor Mario Zingirian. He attended the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, for subspecialty training in Glaucoma with George L. Spaeth, MD and in Cornea with Peter Laibson, MD (1981-1983), and King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh where he worked for 3.5 years (1985-1988). He has been since at the University Eye Clinic in Genova, Present position: Director of Residency Program in Ophthalmology. Chairman of Clinica Oculistica, Department of Neurosciences, Ophthalmology and Genetics, University of Genova-Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria “San Martino”. Medical Director of Melvin Jones Eye Bank of Genova. Member of the Executive Committee of the European Glaucoma Society (EGS) as President. Carlo E.
