Biography
Mario Vaccaro graduated with first class honours in medicine at University of Messina on 1991; he got the specialty in dermatovenereology on 1995. Moreover, he got the Ph.D. degree in Morhological Sciences in 1998. He is Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Venereology of University of Messina (Italy)since 2002 (School of Medicine and Surgery, Resident School of Dermatology and Venereology, Medical Genetics, Urology, and PhD of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychopharmacology and Applications in Neurorehabilitation). His research interests include psoriasis and autoimmune and inflammatory skin diseases,, wound healing and wound repair agents, pediatric dermatology, dermoscopy and antiageing. He received the Italian Society of Dermatology Award in 1997. Referee of many international medical journal. Author of several articles and reviews on international journals and chapters in books in the field of dermatology and general medicine. Responsible for in-patient and out-patient service, dermoscopy, and systemic treatments (including UV-Bnb therapy, laser therapy and biologics).
