Biography

He has presented numerous communications to conferences and conferences by invitation of institutions academics and European and international industrial research centers. He directed the School of Organic Synthesis "A. Corbella "of SCI in the three-year period 2011-2013, Transforming it into an international school. He is currently a member of the Scientific Committee of IASOC (Ischia Advanced School of Organic Chemistry) He has been a member of the CISI Center of Excellence at the University of Milan since its creation at its closure, also participating in the Board of Directors. He was a member of the Interdisciplinary Computational Chemistry of SCI (2006-2008). He is currently a member Of the Directorate of the Division of Organic Chemistry of SCI (2014) and of the group of Carbohydrate Chemistry (since 2012). He has been responsible for the Molecular Modeling and Glycomimetic Design Training Program Marie Curie Training Center "DesDisSyn" at the University of Milan (2001-2006), Coordinator of the European network "New carbohydrate-derived scaffolds for the generation of bioactive libraries" (HPRN-CT-2002-00173; 2002-2006) and Working Group D13 / 012/00 "Rational Design of Glycomimetics: Design, Synthesis and Evaluation of Mimics of Ganglioside GM1 as Cholera Toxin Ligands "within the European COST D13 project (2000-2003). He participated in Working group-001 "Multivalent ligands for cholera toxin inhibition and sensing" within the scope of the project European COST D34 (2005-2008) and the European Network "Carbohydrate Multivalent Systems as Tools to Study Pathogen Interaction with DC-SIGN "(CARMUSYS, FP7 PITN-GA-2008-213592, 2009-2012). He is currently a member of COST Action CM1102, MultiGlycoNano (2012-2016) and the network European ITN Immunoshape (2015-2018).
