Silvia Ardizzone
Professor
Chemistry
University of Milan
Italy
Biography
Silvia Ardizzone started her research activity with studies of electrochemical thermodynamics but soon she extended her interests to topics related to the investigation of lyophobic colloidal systems and interfacial reactivity. During the course of time Silvia Ardizzone has developed research topics, both fundamental and applied, within the general framework of the physical chemistry of solid disperse systems and of interfacial processes, topics of which Silvia Ardizzone is considered an international expert. The applicative impact of Silvia Ardizzone’s research is very broad and spreads into very diverse fields which range from heterogeneous catalysis to adhesion science, not forgetting the electrocatalytic aspects of composite materials tailored for fuel cells.
