Prof. Gianluca Testa

Biography

The dr. Gianluca Testa was born in Naples on 16/03/1974. After graduating from class, he enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Second University of Naples in the academic year 1992/93. Since 1998, she has been an intern student at the Institute of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular and Immunological Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Naples "Federico II", directed by prof. Mario Condorelli. From September to December 1998, Dr. Testa attended the Department of Cardiovascular Science at the Heart and Lung Institute of the Imperial College of London as a visiting student. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery with the highest marks, praise, applause and dignity of the press on 28/07/1999, Head has become an internal physician at the Institute of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular and Immunological Sciences of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Naples "Federico II", collaborating both in the care and in the scientific field. In November 1999, Dr. Head joined the Geriatric Specialization School of the University of Naples "Federico II" directed by Prof. Franco Rengo. On 3/11/2003 the dr. Head has achieved with praise the Specialization in Geriatrics. Between November 2003 and November 2007, Dr. Head has obtained the PhD in "Clinical Physiopathology and Experimental Medicine" (XIX cycle) of the Department of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular and Immunological Sciences "of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Naples" Federico II ". From November 2004 to December 2006, Dr. Head was Visiting Fellow at the Gerontology Research Center's Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science at the National Institute of Aging - National Institutes of Health in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, led by Prof. Edward G. Lakatta. Since October 2007, Head collaborates with the gene and cell therapy group at CEINGE - Advanced Biotechnology - Naples. Since February 2010, Testa took up service with a three-year contract of research and supplementary didactics (pursuant to Article 1, paragraph 14, Law 230 of 2005) for the disciplinary field "Cardiovascular Disease Diseases" (MED / 11) at the Faculty of Science Well being of the University of Molise.
