Biography
Dr. Chiara Massera graduated in Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, at the University of Parma and PhD in Chemistry Sciences thesis titled "Synthesis and structural characterization of transition metal selenide-carbonyl clusters". at the Department of Chemistry GIAF of the University of Parma; he is a researcher in the disciplinary scientific group "CHIM / 07" at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Parma; since November 1, 2002 he has been a researcher confirmed. From 1 October 2002 to 31 March 2003 he was the guest of the group of prof. Gernot Frenking at the Philipps Universitaet in Marburg (Germany) to specialize in the use of computational chemistry methods. From October 1, 2014 is Associate Professor
Research Interest
1) Study of interactions between a receptor and a substrate with the aim of clarifying the factors that determine selectivity in molecular recognition phenomena and the mechanisms that guide the self-assembly of molecules in the crystalline lattice2) Structural characterization of coordination compounds to explain synthesis mechanisms and correlate molecular structures with chemical-physic properties
