Biography
MOTTI Elena graduated with honors in Industrial Chemistry in 1997 at the University of Parma. In the same year he became Ph.D. in Chemistry at the same University.In 2001 he was awarded the title of Ph.D. in Chemistry. In the period 1999-2001 she was assigned research at the Department of Organic and Industrial Chemistry at the University of Parma. In 2002 he was employed as a researcher at the Faculty of Natural Physical Mathematical Sciences (SSD CHIM04; Industrial Chemistry) of the University of Parma. He is a member of the Italian Chemical Society (Industrial Chemistry Division and Interdisciplinary Group of Catalysis). Since 2006 he has been a member of the SCI Board of Directors of Emilia Romagna.She is author of 23 publications in international journals, 2 publications on books and has presented more than 30 communications in national and international conferences.
Research Interest
Medicinal and Pharmaceutical chemistry, sequence reactions catalyzed by transition metals, in particular palladium; catalytic reactions of aromatic functionalization (alkylation and arylation); intramolecular activation reactions of aromatic and benzyl CH bonds; highly chemically and regio-selective synthesis, under mild conditions and low environmental impact; - synthesis and study of reactivity of palladium complexes in stoichiometric reactions; characterization of palladium-based complexes via NMR and monitoring of reaction intermediates via NMR and ESI-MS.
