Dr. Prof. PERACCHI Alessio is currently working as a assoiate professor in the Department of , University of Parma , Italy . His research interests includes function and evolution of catalytic biological macromolecules: protein enzymes, ribozymes (catalytic RNAs) and deoxyribosomes (catalytic DNA).Protein studies relate enzymes dependent on the pyridoxal phosphate cofactor. Studying the genomic distribution of these enzymes offers a unique view of metabolism evolution. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals.
