Research Interest
(i) the evolution of fault-related folds and of their deformation patterns, with implications for fluid flow (using geometric-kinematic modeling, field work and statistical data analysis, and analogue modelling); (ii) the evolution of fault zones and fault systems, with implications for permeability and fluid flow (using field work and statistical data analysis, laser diffraction granulometry, Hg porosimetry, in situ permeability, and optical morphometry); (iii) the evolution of thrust and fold belts and their interaction with surface processes (using field work, analogue modelling, cross-section balancing, and interpretation of reflection seismic profiles); (iv) the evolution of passive margins, with particular emphasis on the Ross Sea region, Antarctica (using field work and statistical data analysis, and interpretation of reflection seismic profiles).
