Biography
TOMASELLI Marcello is Associate Professor of Morphology and Plant Physiology and Alternate Professor of Fitogeography at the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Basilicata from 1992 to 1994; since 1994 associate professor of geobotanics and substitute professor of systematic botany at the Faculty of Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences of the University of Parma. Since 2001 Professor Extraordinary and since 2004 Ordinary Professor in SSD BIO / 03 always at the University of Parma. Coordinator of the PhD in Plant Biology Research. Since 2009 Director of the Department of Evolutionary and Functional Biology.
Research Interest
ecology of high mountain environments, phytosociology and ecology of humid planic and mountain environments, study of vegetation, soil and geomorphology relationships, vegetation cartography and ecology of the landscape, potential effects of climate change on plant biodiversity in Arctic-Alpine ecosystems.
