Biography
Gianmario Motta is tenure professor in University of Pavia from 2005. He has ever worked in FIAT (Torino, Italy) from 1972 to 1977, General systems (Now Telecom Italia) as manager from 1977 to 1978, S&M (Now HP, Milano Italy) as manager from 1978 to 1981, Telos Man-agement Consulting Milano Italy (now Deloitte Consulting) as man-ager from 1982 to 1993, Systech Milano Italy as CEO from 1993 to 1994, Deloitte Consulting (Milano Italy) as Partner from 1994 to 2000 and I&T Roma Italy as Vice President in 2001. Also from 2002 to 2005, he was Practice Professor in Politecnico di Milano Italy. He is a mem-ber of AICA IEEE and ACM and organizing CEISEE, BAI and SOLI conferences. He is guest professor of Harbin Institute of Technology (Harbin, China), Tongji Univesity (Shanghai, China) and University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu, China). He has received IBM award for the first major in Service Science in 2006 AICA award EUSIP champion in 2008. He is an author of over 70 pub-lications and books.His research areas include user need analysis technics in the domains of corporate business intelligence, enterprise systems, and smart city systems.
