Biography
Giuseppe Martini was Born in Milano, Italia on 1952. On 1977 he received the Laurea degree in Nuclear Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Since then he is working at the Electronics Department - University of Pavia, since 1981 as Research Assistant. He started his research activities in optoelectronics, studying the statistical properties of laser generated speckle pattern and their application to metrological instrumentation. He has been active also in the field of optical sensors, optical sensor components and optical instrumentation. At present his main research activities are in the field of - microelectronics: he is now actively involved in research concerning electronic noise, noise analysis of electronic components, electronic circuits and systems; -optoelectronics: design and characterization of microoptics for high-frame-rate, SPAD based, image sensors (MEGAFRAME European Commission project). He is member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), OSA (Optical Society of America) and AEI (Associazione Elettrotecnica e Elettronica Italiana). His teaching duty is in the area of Electronics.
