Biography
Riccardo Rosso in 1968 (April 20): he was born in Vercelli. 1992 (July 23): graduates in Physics at the University of Pavia as pupils of the Borromeo College, with a vote of 110/110 with praise, discussing the thesis titled "Berry Phase in Quantum Mechanics" (prof. Franco Salmistraro). 1999 (February 11): wins a competition for a researcher in the A03X (Physics of Mathematics) at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Pavia. 1999 (March 25): holds the title of Ph.D. in Mathematics at the University of Milan, discussing the thesis "Adhesion of Fluid Membranes" (rapporteur: Prof. Epifanio G. Virga). 2000 (March 31st): receives the PhD dissertation on liquid crystal from the Italian Liquid Crystal Society 2002 (May): Coordinator of a "young project" banned by the GNFM, titled "Capillarity anisotropy". 2007 (May): Coordinator of a "young project" banned by GNFM, titled "Steric Interactions between Liquid-Crystal Molecules". 2010 (June 24): Gains Eligibility as a Professor of the 2nd Band in the Disciplinary Science Sector MAT07 (Mathematical Physics). 2011 (29 December): Takes service as a professor of the II fascia in Physics-Mathematics at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Pavia
