Biography
Alessandra Marrella was born in Genoa in 1989 and received a classical education at the high school A. D’Oria. In 2014, she graduated in Bioengineering (curriculum: Biomechanics and Biomaterials) at University of Genoa with a thesis entitled “Gradient scaffolds for tissue engineering applications: design, realization and validation with bioreactor”. She is PhD student at University of Genoa and she collaborates with the National Research Council of Italy from June 2014.
Research Interest
Development of optimal 3D architectures capable of supporting tissue growth and mechanical loads in vivo, often superficially functionalizing the material to optimize the biological response.
