Biography
Lucio Cagini M.D. graduated with a medical degree in 1986 at the University of Perugia and subsequently majored in General Surgery and General Thoracic Surgery. His professional growth has been characterized by frequent and prolonged periods of work and study abroad and in Italy, in centres such as the Royal Brompton Hospital in London and the Istituto Europeo di Oncologia in Milan. He has acted as first surgeon for hundreds of surgical procedures in general and in thoracic surgery. He is author of many scientific papers regarding his fields of research; pulmonary metastases, tumour growths factors, the body reaction to surgical stress, thoracic trauma and surgical techniques. At present he is Assistant Professor of Thoracic Surgery at the University of Perugia.
