Biography
Serena De Santis graduated whit honors in Chemistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" on 16/07/2009 and achieved the PhD in Chemistry at the same university in December 2012. From March 2013 to February 2015 she worked on the project "Polymers with molecular weight, polydispersion and controlled architecture through ATRP for the preparation of self-assembling nanoparticles and thermosensitive systems". From March 2015 to February 2016 she has been a research grant at the Department of Chemistry at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" for SSD CHIM/02 for the project "New Generation Biosensors Based on Choline Amino Acids Ionic Liquids: structural characterization of Liquid and active surface and improvement of device properties ". She did his first teaching as a tutor and then as a lecturer for the General Chemistry course of the Department of Engineering at the University of Rome "La Sapienza". She is the holder of General Chemistry course for the Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Roma3, University of Rome) since 2014. Currently, Dr. De Santis has a research grant holder for SSD CHIM/04 and is involved in the synthesis and characterization of biomolecules for biomedical applications.
