Biography
Born in Bari on 11/12/1968 after graduating as an industrial examiner, he enrolled in the degree program in Physics at the University of Bari where he graduated full marks in July 1993. In 1998 he received the Ph.D. in Physics at the same University. After having obtained a postgraduate scholarship from the National Institute of Nuclear Physics at the International School of Advanced Studies (SISSA) in Trieste, in October 1999 he took up service as a researcher (B01 - Physical Science) at the Department of Materials Science at the University of Lecce. In 2005 he received the Department of Physics at the same University. At the same time he changes his disciplinary science field in FIS / 02 (Theoretical Physics and Mathematical Models). He is co-organizer of seven editions of the "Neutrino Oscillation Workshop", an international one, held in Otranto with a two-year maturity and two schools (a national and an international) of astroparticle physics.
Research Interest
Phenomenology and theory of neutrino oscillations: The phenomenon of flavor oscillations is connected to a non-neutral neutrino mass. In particular, the three weak (or flavor) νe, νμ and ντ autostats can generally be a combination (according to a unitary matrix, called mixing) of the three mass self-states ni (i = 1,2,3) . A neutrin is generally produced as a weak autostat, and therefore with a well-defined flavor.
