Biography

Born in Guagnano (Le) on 19 September 1949. · Graduated in Mathematics with praise at the University of Lecce on March 6, 1974. · CNR scholarship at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa from 1 June 1974 to 31 October 1975. · Contract holder at the Faculty of Geometry at the University of Lecce from November 1, 1975 to December 31, 1977 (with interruption to fulfill military service obligations from 18 -11-75 to 22-12-76). · Professor at the Faculty of Science at the University of Lecce from November 1, 1977 to January 11, 1983. · Associate Professor at the Faculty of Science of the University of Lecce from January 12, 1983 to March 4, 1987. · Extraordinary Professor of Geometry at the Faculty of Science of the University of Lecce since March 5, 1987, and an ordinary professor of the same discipline since 1990. · The following courses were held at the Faculty of Science: Geometry I, Geometry II, Upper Geometry Institutions, Geometry V, Geometry VII and Differential Geometry. In addition, in the 1990-91, ..., 2001-02, he held the Geometry course at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Lecce. · He has held positions as Chairman of the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Director of the Department of Mathematics and a member of the Academic Senate of the University of Lecce. · Coordinator of the PhD in Mathematics of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Lecce (2001-2007). · Author of more than 70 scientific articles in the field of "Geometry of Riemannian Varieties", published in international journals. · Member of CNR-INDAM National Group GNSAGA. · Member of the Balkan Society of Geometers. · Participant in the inter-group project "Subelithic nonlinear equations of variance origin in the contact geometry" July2004-June2005. · Head of Lecce Local Unit of the National Research Project "Real and Complex Geometry" (1994-95-96). · Member of the Local Unit of Rome (University of La Sapienza in Rome) of the national research project "Geometric properties of real and complex varieties" (cofin.1998, cofin.2000, cofin.2002). · Responsible of the local unit of Lecce of the national research project "Riemannian metrics and differentiated varieties" (PRIN-2005). · Responsible of the Local Unit of Lecce of the National Research Project "Differential Geometry and Global Analysis" (PRIN-2007). · Editor in Chief of the Mathematics Notebook magazine since January 2009. · Member of the Editorial Board of the following scientific journals: - Lect. Notes of Interdisciplinary Seminar of Mathematics (SIM) (Power) since 2007. - Chinese Journal of Mathematics (Ed. Hindawi) since 2013. - Mathematical Notes since 1994.
