Biography
Ferdinando De Tomasi was born in Gallipoli on November 23, 1962, but grew up around Italy and attended the Liceo Scientifico in Taranto and Brindisi, where he graduated. He then attended the PhD degree in Pisa, where he graduated in 1988 and where he obtained his PhD in 1992. After another period of work in Pisa, he moved to Paris where he visited the Laboratoire Kastler-Brossel of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the Laboratoire Aime 'Cotton of CNRS. In 1998 she moved to Nice where she was a CNRS contract researcher at the Non Linear de Nice Institute (now Laboratoire Ondes et Desordre). Since 1999 she has been working at the Department of Physics of the University of Salento and since 2001 she has been a university researcher.
