Calini" in Brescia. 1974-1978 Undergraduate studies at the Bologna University, Bologna (Italy). 1978-1979 Undergraduate thesis at the Computer Center of the National Commitee for Nuclear Energy (CNEN), Bologna (Italy). Thesis title "Problema di Hartee-Fock con l' interazione di Skyrme. Descrizione dello stato fondamentale dei nuclei doppio magici" (Hartee-Fock problem with Skyrme interaction. Description of the ground state of doubly magic nuclei.) Supervisors: A.M. Saruis and S. Bergia. 28.11.1979 Undergraduate degree from the Bologna University. 1980 Militar service in the Italian Air Force. 1981-1984 Ph.D student at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (IKP) of the Kernforschungsanlage Juelich (KFA) in the German Federal Republic.
