Biography
Lorenzo Vasanelli graduated in Physics at the University of Bari with 110/110 votes and praise. After a period of research training at the CSATA - Applied Technology Center of Applied Studies in Bari, from 1973 to 1986 he taught at the University before as a Professor and then as Associate Professor. In 1986 he was the winner of the National Contest for Ordinary Professor of Structure of Matter, and was called at the University of Lecce where he taught from 1987 to today. At this university, his didactic activity took place mainly in the Faculty of Science, where he has held many courses in Physics. Since 2007 he has moved to the Industrial Engineering Faculty of the Brindisi Center of the same University.At the University of Salento he has held several positions: Director of the Department of Materials Science (1991-1993), rector of the Rector, prof. Angelo Rizzo, for research activities (1996 - 2001), Director of the Department of Innovation Engineering (2001 - 2008). Since November 2007 he is delegated for Rector Research, Prof. Domenico Laforgia. Since November 2008 he is also a member of the Board of Directors. From 1993 to 2002 he was Director of the "Institute for the Study of New Materials for Electronics" of the National Research Council. based in Lecce.In 1989 he participated in the feasibility study and operational plan of the National Center for Research and Development of Materials (CNRSM) in Brindisi and was responsible for the training activities and subsequently, until 1996, coordinator of the startup activity.
