Biography
Maria Rita Perrone is a Professor of Matter Structure (FIS / 03) at the Department of Physics of the University of Salento and has been a member of the same Department since 1975. He is responsible for the Aerosol & Climate Laboratory and the Environmental Physics Laboratory. He is a member of the faculty member of the PhD program "Energy Systems and Environment". He is a member of the Board of the Italian Aerosol Society (IAS). He is a member of the Aerospace Research Association GAef-Gesellschaft fur Aerosol Forschung eV He has been responsible for numerous national and international projects and is author of more than 150 publications in international journals.
Research Interest
Leprincipal research lines pursued from 2002 to the present are: · LIDAR systems for monitoring the vertical distribution of aerosols and water vapor. · Aerosol characterization with remote field and satellite remote monitoring techniques. · Characterization of water precipitated by GPS signals and remote-field and satellite remote monitoring techniques. · Sampling and chemical / physical characterization of particulates to the ground. · Radiation effects of aerosols. · Climatic models on a regional scale
