Biography
P. Davide Cozzoli received his MSc degree in Chemistry in 1999 and his PhD in Chemical Sciences in 2004 from the University of Bari, Italy. His PhD work was partially carried out at the University of Hamburg. From 2004 to 2005 he worked as post-doctoral fellow at the University of Bari. In 2005-2007 he was Staff Researcher at the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (NNL) of the CNR Institute Nanoscience, Lecce, Italy. In 2007-2015 he served as Assistant Professor of Experimental Matter Physics at the University of Salento, Lecce, Italy, from which he was then appointed as Associate Professor in 2015. As CNR Associate Researcher, he led the nanochemistry division of NNL in 2009-2015. Since 2015 he is responsible of the nanochemistry activities at the newly founded Institute of Nanotechnology, Lecce, Italy. Currently, he serves as Editorial Board Member of several peer-reviewed journals and as Associate Editor of the Science of Advanced Materials, Journal of Nanoengineering and Nanomanufacturing, Materials Focus, Journal of Crystallography, Journal of Nanomaterials, International Journal of Photoenergy, and Frontiers in Materials. His research is focused on the development of advanced colloidal nanocrystals for applications in (photo)catalysis, photovoltaics, optoelectronics and biomedicine. P.
