Biography
Dr. Silvia Colella received her PhD in “Nanoscience” at National Nanotechnology Laboratory –NNL (Lecce), in 2010, with a dissertation on "Novel organic materials for opto-eletronic applications". During this period, she spent one year at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität of Münster (Germany), where she dealt with the photophysical characterization of metal complexes for LEDs. In 2010 she joined BASF – The Chemical Company (Strasbourg, France) with a Marie Curie fellowship as experienced researcher, working on Dye Sensitized Solar Cells. She continued as post-doc researcher at the Institut de science et ingénierie supramoléculaires in Strasbourg, France. Since 2012 she is researcher at the physic department of Università del Salento, and associated researcher at CNR-NANOTEC. Her group currently focuses on the development of Halide Perovskite materials for highly efficient solar cells, novel device architectures and study of the basic chemical-physical mechanisms.
