Biography
Graduated in Mathematics at the Federico II University of Naples, PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, is Associate Professor at the University of Salerno. His research interests concern the problem of integration between technology, particularly e-learning, and research in Mathematics Education. In this context it has been and is: - winner as National Coordinator of a Prin 2015 project titled "Digital Interactive Storytelling in Mathematics: A Competent-Based Social Approach"; the evaluation of the project compared to the three criteria (Quality of the research project: Innovation and methodology, Quality of the research group, feasibility and congruity of the project, Impact of the project) is "Excellent" in all three cases; - author of numerous scientific articles on journals, concerts and international books; - Scientific director of various PhD theses; - vice-president of the IRDM (Italian Association of Research in Didactics of Mathematics), which collects all the members of the Academic and Scientific Community of the Mathematics Research Area, from January 2016 to the present; - Permanent Rapporteur of the 2013 edition of the National Mathematics Research Seminar and co-ordinator of a multi-lingual presentation on "E-Learning and Mathematics Research: Integration, Experiences and Reflections" - Member of the COS N (Organizing Committee of the National Seminar) of the IRDM (Italian Association of Research in Didactics of Mathematics) from April 2013 to the present; - Scientific Director or member of various national and international research projects, including the Center for Excellence "Learning and Knowledge Systems and Systems"; - Coordinator of the Learning & Knowledge area of ​​the Consortium Center of Excellence on Competitive Business Methods and Systems (CEMSAC) from 2003 up to 2005; - Reference Person of the Consortium Center of Excellence on Competitive Business Methods and Systems (CEMSAC) from 2003 up to now; - Italian delegate for the Education & Training Working Party, IST in FP5. He has and has many teaching assignments, both on university courses (Geometry, Mathematics 0, I, II, III) and post-graduate studies (SICSI and PhD in Mathematics, MAT / 04 and MAT / 03, with reference to the use of technologies).
