Biography
Luigi Cavallo holds the PhD in Chemistry at the Federico II University in Naples in 1993, working with prof. Corradini. In September 1994 he wins a competition for a post of university researcher, group of discipline Industrial Chemistry, University of Naples. In November 2001 he won a competition as associate professor, disciplinary group of Chemical Chemistry, and in April 2002 he was appointed to the position of the Faculty of Science of the University of Salerno. In June 2002 he won the XII edition of Federchimica's "For an Intelligent Future" prize, addressed to faculty and researchers. He currently holds the teachings of Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry of Macromolecules II and Computational Models for Biomolecule Study. In 1992, 1995 and 1998 he worked at the laboratory of prof. Ziegler, University of Calgary (Canada), for the implementation of quantum mechanics / molecular mechanics. In spring 2000 he works as an "Invited scientist" at the laboratory of prof. Duran Portas, University of Girona (Spain), for the teaching of quantum mechanics / molecular mechanics. In summer 2001 he works as a "visiting scientist" at the lab of prof. Woo, University of London (Canada), for learning ab initio molecular dynamics techniques. The professor. Horse is co-author of about 200 papers in international scientific journals, and about 30 communications to international congresses, several by invitation. It has an index-h equal to 43.
