Biography
Nunziatina De Tommasi is currently Professor of Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Salerno and Coordinator of the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. In 1986 he obtained his degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies (110 and praise) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples "Federico II". 1992 the title of Ph.D. in "Pharmacologically Active Natural Substances" University of Naples "Federico II". 1996-1998 he held the role of SSD Researcher BIO15 Pharmaceutical Biology at the University of Salerno. 1998-2002 Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry (CHIM / 06) at University of Salerno. Other work experience: 1993-present Visiting Professor at numerous Universities and Institutes of International Research (UMSA, Bolivia, UCV, Venezuela, DMT Mali, Al-Azaytona, Jordan, ESPOCH, Ecuador). 1997: Researcher invited to the European Molecular Biology Laboratory of Heidelberg, Germany. The teacher. Nunziatina De Tommasi has produced from 1988 to present: 180 articles in international journals; 140 communications to national and international meetings; 10 reviews for international series; and received the "Claudio Redaelli" award from the Italian Society of Phytochemistry. The scientific activity of prof. Nunziatina De Tommasi has been directed to the chemical and biological study of plants used in traditional medicines and their bioactive metabolites. Currently its research lines concern the study of interaction between bioactive natural molecules and proteins that play key roles in different pathologies.
