Biography
Gaetano Guerra was born in Altavilla Silentina (Salerno) on September 26, 1953. He graduated in Chemistry at the University of Naples on July 26, 1976. From October 1979 to December 1983, he worked as a researcher at 'Istituto Guido Donegani, Naples Research Center, Montedison, in the Department of Polymeric Materials Engineering. From January 1984 to September 1987 he has been the researcher and researcher of the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science of the University of Naples. From October 1987 to October 1995 she has been the associate professor of Industrial Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science of the University of Naples. All the activity of prof. Gaetano Guerra had the object of studying polymeric materials, both from a theoretical and experimental point of view. This activity is documented by about three hundred publications on international journals with "referees", as well as numerous industrial patents and chapters of internationally-disseminated books. The professor. Gaetano Guerra has been holding invitational conferences at numerous national and international conferences as well as lectures at national and international specialist schools. He was the winner in 1986 of a Prize awarded by the Neapolitan Academy of Arts and Sciences for the best group in Macromolecular Chemistry, in 1992 the Federchemical National Prize (reserved for professors and academic researchers) and in 2003 Linceo Prize, awarded by the Lincei National Academy. In 2009, his research team won the Made NEW Award in Italy, a "business plan competition" organized by the National Science and Materials Technology Consortium (INSTM), on "Innovative Materials from University to Enterprise".
