Biography
Gennaro Percannella is Associate Professor of Information Processing Systems at the Department of Electrical and Applied Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Salerno where he is doing research in the Artificial Vision Group. He graduated with praise in 1998 in Electronic Engineering at the University of Salerno. In 2002 he earned the title of PhD in Information Engineering at the same university. His interests cover the areas of pattern recognition, video and audio analysis, machine learning in artificial vision with reference to biomedical imaging applications, robotic vision and intelligent video surveillance. It is a member of IAPR and IEEE. She is author of over 90 contributions on journals and international conference papers in Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. He is an auditor of numerous international journals and conferences and is in the program committee of relevant international conferences. He has participated and coordinated various research and technology transfer projects. He is a founding member and has re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of AI Tech srl during the company's incubation period as a spin-off of the University of Salerno.
