Biography
Pierluigi Ritrovato was born in Cosenza on 9/4/1968 and graduated in Information Science at the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the University of Salerno in 1992. In 2006 he became Researcher in the ING- INF05 "Information Processing Systems" and from May 2016 is Associate Professor in the ING-INF05 field at the DIEM - Department of Information and Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics at the University of Salerno. He has been a consultant for CRMPA's research and technological innovation - Pure Mathematics Research Center, a non-profit consortium attended by the University of Salerno. Since July 2014 is a member of the Intelligent Machines Lab for Video Recognition,(MIVIA) and coordinates the research group on the use of knowledge technologies and the semantic web for artificial vision. From June 2015 she is responsible for internationalization activities for DIEM. In recent years his research interests concerned the study of methodologies and techniques for the design and implementation of adaptive learning and knowledge mining systems. The implementation of Enterprise Semantic technologies based Enterprise 2.0 solution to improve business performance in so-called knowledge-intensive organizations (knowledge sharing, collaborative teamwork, expert finding, etc.), Grid and Cloud Computing technologies, considering aspects related to the Virtual Organization's operational management and systems for discovery and composition automatic services.
