Biography
The professor. Corrado Rubino graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Naples with 110/110 votes and Lode on 11/9/85. Specialization in Plastic Surgery on 26/10/90 at the University of Naples with 70/70 and praise. Technical Assistant at the Chair of Plastic Surgery at the University of Rome La Sapienza from 15/9/90. Winner in the 91st of a MURST scholarship for undergraduate activities at university-level foreign institutions. He worked from 1/6/91 to 30/11/91 as HonSHO at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead (UK). He worked from 1/3/95 to 31/8/95 as Head and Neck Fellow at Glasgow University's Canniesburn Hospital in Glasgow. In November 1994 he passed the Exam for the Qualification in Brussels, European Board of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He moved from 16/11/95 to the Chair of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Sassari. He was appointed by the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Sassari to take up the post of Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery as of 1/11/98, and was assigned the didactic responsibility of the discipline as well as the superior qualification of Primary full time. Since 1/4/01 he was then called to cover the position of Extraordinary Professor of Plastic Surgery at the same University and was appointed Professor of Plastic Surgery since 1/04/04 He was Director of the School of Specialization in Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Sassari from 1/11/1998 to 31/10/2012 From 1 November 2012 he moved as Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Salerno. He is the author of numerous publications in national and international journals. Main interests are Mammary Reconstruction, Skin Cancer and Melanoma, Rejuvenating Microsurgery and Perforating Flaps.
