Biography
Maria Transirico was born in Naples in 1958. She graduated in Mathematics at the University of Naples in 1980 with a vote of 110/110 and praise (with an average of 30/30). He has received an annual CNR scholarship and a two-year biennial scholarship from INdAM. From 1984 to 1992 he was Researcher of Mathematical Analysis, from 1993 to 2000 was Professor Associate and since 2001 is Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the Faculty of Science MM.FF.NN. of the University of Salerno. He is a member of the Department of Mathematics. In the three-year period November 2005 - October 2008 he was Chairman of the Mathematics Learning Area Council. From November 2008 to December 2013 he was the Head of the Faculty of Science MM.FF.NN.From February 2013 he is a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Salerno. Maria Transirico has held conferences and communications regarding his research at Italian and foreign universities, and at numerous national and international conferences. From 1998 to 2007 he was a member of the College of PhD students in Mathematical Sciences - Naples headquarters. From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the College of Professors of the PhD in Mathematics - Salerno administrative office. Since 2013, he has been a member of the College of PhD students in Mathematics, Physics and Applications - Salerno administrative office. She was responsible for some search checks. She has been and is responsible for research programs (FARB - ex 60%) titled "Elliptical Equations and Applications". He is UMI member and member GNAMPA. As far as research is concerned, Maria Transirico has dealt with differential equations for partial elliptical and parabolic derivatives. He first focused on using symmetry methods to study contour problems for elliptical differential equations of linear and nonlinear second order and to study some degenerate non-linear parabolic problems. Then he studied the Dirichlet problem for elliptical linear differential equations of the second order with discontinuous coefficients in unrestricted open Rn and related issues of the Sobolev space theory with weight. The scientific production of Maria Transirico consists of over fifty articles published in international journals. Maria Transirico has been teaching since 1984 at the Faculty of Science MM.FF.NN. of the University of Salerno.
