Biography

Vincenzo Tucci (orcid.org/0000-0002-3952-5256) was born in 1956 in Cava dè Tirreni. He graduated with praise in 1981 in Electronic Engineering at the University of Naples "Federico II". Since 2000 he has been a professor of Electrical Engineering (SSD ING / IND-31) at the University of Salerno where he is responsible for the Electromagnetic Material Characterization Lab. Scientific activity focuses on the following main themes: electromagnetic characterization and treatment of materials, electrical modeling of composites and nano-polymer composites, design techniques and optimization of the performance of components for electrical and electronic engineering. He was the national coordinator of the national PRIN 2008- DENSE research project and responsible for EU projects (FP7-ICT-2007-1 - Carbon nanotube technology for high-speed next-generation nano-interconnects; FP7-AAT-2012-RTD -1 - Improving the Aircraft Safety by Self-Healing and Protecting Nanofillers. The research activity has given rise to more than 170 scientific publications published in magazines and in international conferences. The professor. Tucci is a member of the College of PhD students in Computer Science and Information Engineering and a member of the Scientific Committee of the International PhD in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology organized in collaboration with Jacobs University of Bremen (Germany).  The professor. Vincenzo Tucci is an auditor for international journals, Session Chairman at International Conferences.  From February 2011 to January 2013 he was Chairman of the University of Salerno Education Information Technology Area. Since April 2004 he is Director of the Center for Quality at the University. He is an expert on the ANVUR system and is part of the QUACING Agency's Cabin for the EUR-ACE accreditation of CdS in Engineering.
