Biography
He is a contract professor of the University of Siena (continuously from the academic year 2006/2007) of Rhetoric and persuasive languages ​​(M-FIL / 05 - 6 CFU). Within this course he has been speaker of numerous theses on political communication, on advertising communication, on the analysis of journalistic language, the press and television. He is a lecturer in Humanities (class 43 / A) and currently holds the position at the Comprehensive Institute of S. Cesareo (Rome). He was a research fellow in "Semiotics and History of Semiotics" (M-FIL / 05) at the Department of Communication Sciences of the same university from 1.10.2005 to 30.9.2009. Since 2006 he has collaborated with the "Center for Studies and Research on Communication - Critical Observatory of Castiglioncello" where he carries out professional updating activities and participates in the organization of the "Castiglioncello Communication Award" of which he is secretary. He is editor of the magazine Blityri. Studies of the history of ideas on signs and languages and is a member of the board of directors of Symbolon.- Journal of the interuniversity center of studies on the symbol On 21.5.2004 he obtained at the University of Siena the title of Doctor of research in "Semiotics and psychology of symbolic communication" with a thesis entitled: The empiricist semiotics. Locke and the Italian language tradition of the Age of Enlightenment (Tutor: Prof. G. Manetti). He graduated in Literature with honors at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" on 16.7.1997. Thesis title: Imagination and language in Giacomo Leopardi (supervisor: Prof. L. Formigari, co-supervisor: Prof. S. Gensini).
