Biography
Francesco Ferretti (1982) earned his MSc in 2005 (110/100 cum laude: University of Naples) and his PhD in 2009 (University of Siena). Has been a post-doctoral research associate at the University of Siena, visiting researcher at the Universities of Wageningen and Durham and at the Animal and Plant Health Agency (York), as well as a consultant zoologist at national/regional park agencies and natural history museums, in Italy. His research interests lie on behavioural ecology and conservation/management of large mammals, including a variety of species from Mediterranean, mountain (Apennines, Alps, Himalayas) and tropical (Nepal Terai) ecosystems. Is in the Editorial Board of Mammalian Biology and Frontiers in Ecology and Environment.
Research Interest
His research interests lie on behavioural ecology and conservation/management of large mammals, including a variety of species from Mediterranean, mountain (Apennines, Alps, Himalayas) and tropical (Nepal Terai) ecosystems. Is in the Editorial Board of Mammalian Biology and Frontiers in Ecology and Environment.
