Biography
PhD in Medieval History, he was a scholarship holder at the Italian Institute for Historical Studies in Naples and at the Harvard Center for Italian Renaissance Studies in Florence. Specialist in urban history of the thirteenth and sixteenth centuries, he has published numerous essays on economic and social issues. He is a member of the scientific committees of various institutions, including the Italian Center for the Study of History and Art in Pistoia, the Centro Studi on the civilization of the late Middle Ages in San Miniato and the journal "Historical Studies". He is referent for the medieval curriculum of the Ph.D. in Historical Studies of the Universities of Florence and Siena
Research Interest
Line of research is History of social mobility and migration, with links to the Administrer l'étranger project. Mobilités, diplomaties et hospitalité, Italie-Europe (XIVe-mi XIXe siècle), fruit of the collaboration of French, Spanish and Italian university institutions with the Ecole française de Rome
