Biography
Giulio Ghellin was born on February 19th 1956, Graduated in Statistics and Economics at the University of Padua in 1980. Is Full Professor of Social Statistics at the University of Siena since 2005. From November 2010 Head of the Economics Faculty "R. Goodwin" of Siena University. Coordinator of the Siena University activities with EUA (European University Association) from January 2007. Member of the Evaluation Team of Palermo University from December 2007. Member of the Teaching Team at PhD Course on Applied Statistics at Palermo University. In 1994-1995, has been Visiting Researcher at the ESRC Research Centre on Micro-social Change, University of Essex. Research fields and expertise includes Sampling Survey Theory and Practice; Sampling and Non Sampling Errors Measurement and Treatment; Longitudinal Modelling of Youth Transition; Cohorts Surveys; Educational Systems Evaluation. Long experience in working with European social survey data. Member of several scientific projects and consultancy activities for Eurostat, Istat, Italian Government, and Italian Local Authorities.
