Biography
Graduated with a thesis in Paleography in Florence, he won a Doctorate in Economic History at the University of Bari and a research grant in Economic and Social History in Arezzo. He deals with many aspects of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, in particular the interaction between the construction of the Medici family's heritage and the structure of the nascent Tuscan 'State'
