He is currently working as Associate Professor Department of Biotechnology, chemistry and pharmacy at University of Siena , Italy. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. His research interest is in The area of research are Study of the biological function of the KRIT1 protein and of its role in Cerebral Cavernous Malformations; Study of the biological role of the Humanin peptide and of its neuroprotective function in the Alzheimer's disease; Molecular interations of Aciculin and its involvement in Muscular Dystrophy.
