Biography
Lorenzo Nasi , born in Arezzo on 12 December 1974, is a Researcher in Sociology-General (SPS / 07) at the Department of Social, Political and Cognitive Sciences of the University of Siena, where he holds courses in Sociology of Development and Development and Globalization. Graduated in 2000 at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Siena with a thesis in Sociology entitled "Tunibamba: The Utopia of an Alternative Development in a Development Cooperation Project", published later in the Studies and Research series of the Department of Historical, Legal, Political and Social Sciences, in 2004 he obtained the PhD in Sociology and Political Systems at the University of Parma discussing a thesis entitled "Evaluation paths, development processes. Ecuador. " From 2004 to 2008 he is a Research Fellow at the Department of Historical, Juridical, Political and Social Sciences of the University of Siena. In 2003 he began teaching as an adjunct professor of the course in Theory of Social Planning at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Siena; since 2005 he teaches Sociology of Development in the Master's Degree in International Sciences. The teaching activity is then enriched with teaching at training courses carried out by NGOs and voluntary associations, by international institutions (Unicef ​​and Undp) and at the Summer School. The research activity is oriented towards the study of the issues related to Development and International Cooperation, on the one hand through the analysis of the role that the Third sector plays within these areas, on the other, exploring the behavior of the young generations. with reference to the theme of inequality, international solidarity and the problem of scarcity of resources.
