Biography
He is associate professor at the University of Siena (scientific sector 05/B1 – Zoology and Anthropology) where he lectures in Systematic Zoology of Vertebrates and Biogeography for the degree in Enviromental and Natural Sciences. He works at the Department of Physical, Earth and Environmental Sciences, in systematics, paleontology, biogeography and conservation of non-marine molluscs, faunistics of Tuscany and Tuscan Archipelago and history of the natural sciences. Besides being in charge the Zoological Section, he holds the position of director of the Museum of Natural History of the Accademia dei Fisiocritici.
