Biography
Mario A. Battaglia obtained his degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Genoa (1979). He works in medical laboratories in two different hospitals (1980-1988) and in 1988 he began his academic career first as Associate Professor in the University of Trieste, then in the University of Siena, and since 2002 as Full Professor of Hygiene and Public Health in the University of Siena. He is vice president of Multiple Sclerosis International Federation (MSIF) Board and member and coordinator of working group “Right to health” of National Observatory UN Convention for Disabled People of Italian Ministry of Welfare.
