Biography
Sandro Nannini is a professor of theoretical philosophy and philosophy of mind at the University of Siena. He has taught as a visiting professor at the universities of Osnabrück, Oldenburg and North London and has promoted (and still largely maintain) teaching and research exchanges with the universities of Bremen, Hamburg, Bonn, Compiègne and Dublin. He has long worked on the philosophy of social science and practical analytical philosophy. For many years he has been interested in philosophy of the mind and cognitive sciences. In this last field he was director from 1999 to 2011 of a doctorate in cognitive sciences at the University of Siena. After deepening the history of theories on the relationship between mind and body from antiquity to the present day, we are now dedicating ourselves to the perspectives of naturalization of conscience and intentionality.
