Biography
He is PhD in environmental biology and Assistant Professor of Environmental Botany & interested in the study of the biological effects of air pollution on sensitive organisms, especially lichens, to be used as biomonitors. My research group works in cooperation with several teams in Italy and abroad, especially Greece, Slovakia and Portugal. He is Author of more than 100 scientific papers in refereed journals, Coordinator of several scientific research projects and member of the editorial board of several international journals, President of the Italian Lichen Society (2011-2014); member of the Steering Committee of the Foundation for Climate and Sustainability (2012-2015); member of the Steering Committee of BioMAP - Biomonitoring of Atmospheric Pollution.
Research Interest
His research interest is foccused on Biological effects of pollutants on sensitive organisms (especially lichens).
